Excited for the weekend!? We're back with another #NewMusicFriday feature! Off the back of releasing his latest new single 'Dun Out Ere' we linked up with fire rapper WhoIsOrion at our studio in London.

In between a cracking a few jokes we learned about his thoughts on technology on the music industry, his creative process and whats next for the talented rapper.

Who is Orion?

That’s a question that can’t be answered... I think it’s an everlasting journey.. I feel like I’m so complicated and free flowing that I’m many things at once and my music reflects that, I can be conscious In one melodic rap song and then flip it to a hard hitting lit song, and that’s why it’s whoisorion.

Give us an inside in your creative process?

Honestly it’s varies, I can be in my bed writing bars then hop in the booth and record it, the next day I might freestyle on the mic and rerecord over it, sometime I punch in as well. I always think about the vibe first then focus on being as lyrical as possible without spoiling the vibe or flow.

How do you think that social media and technology changed the creative industry?

I feel like it’s changed it for the better, social media’s give us an opportunity to become a big artist independently which the older generations didn’t have the opportunity to do. I think the issue is a lot of weak music can be pushed to the forefront by attracting attention through their social media content over their music. How I see it is there’s pros and cons for everything and this is just the pros and cons of social media.

How did your music changed over time?

I started off mad American influenced, that’s all I listened to, I spat on old school hip hop beats and I was trying to find myself and figure out how to make whole sounded songs. Then I ended up finding away to balance bars and a strong rounded song.
