New Music Friday: LA LAU

We are back with our next #NewMusicFriday feature! This week we caught up with the mega talented singer and songwriter LA LAU, who is giving you some you some new heat today with her new single 'Fun'!

We hung out and got to know more about her creative process for the new single, her sources of inspiration and what's next for LA LAU... 👀

1. Who are you?

I am LA LAU, in tune with my feelings I write and sing from the heart. From a French mother and a British father, I identify with both cultures which I believe affects my music in some way and gives me the ability to adapt to different genres. So my music can sometimes be pop, sometimes r’n’b, sometimes alternative, sometimes I don’t even know but it's always LA LAU.

2. Tell us about your next single release?

My next release is quite different to my previous tracks. My friend sent me this beat saying it might be too dark for me but I ended up really liking it. There are two different universes in this track, it’s kinda dark but still kinda fun.

3. Who is your inspiration?

It’s not really who but what, I get inspired by musicians, my friends, the weather, a book sometimes just from a feeling. As an empath I feel a lot and find it easy to put myself in other people's shoes so that inspires me and helps me write from new perspectives. So I guess I find inspiration in anything that surrounds me.

4. What’s next to come from LA LAU?

You’re not done hearing about me, it's only the beginning! Jokes aside, I have a few more singles and maybe I’ll be releasing a project who knows… well I know ahah.
