#ArtThursdays - Gallery On Wheels Exhibition @ Thameside Studios Lounge

This week, we didn't have to go very far for this Art Thursday as the exhibition happened right here at the Thameside Studios.

The Gallery on Wheels is a traveling art project created by illustrator, animator, and print-maker Ania Pawlik and video-maker, fine art photographer, and printmaker Carlos Thomas.

The Gallery on Wheels has produced a new screen-printed collective wall calendar for 2023. Twelve internationally-based artists were invited to interpret and illustrate the theme of Space-Time. The accompanying exhibition in Thames-Side Studios Lounge display these original works alongside the final calendar and individual prints created in the Gallery on Wheels workshop. - Ania Pawlik

In the past, the Gallery on Wheels has travelled across Europe hosting screen printing workshops and pop-up exhibitions at art festivals and events across Europe. Currently based in London, they are working on various community-based projects providing screen printing workshops and teaching for adults and children. Apart from printmaking, they merged their skills to express their love for storytelling in experimental animation-making, both traditional and digital.

This year they warmly welcome two new members to the collective: Ania Lacina and Cristina Calvache Q . Their 'unmovable' studio is based at Thames-Side Studios in Woolwich (Studio 5-229).
